‘Life is mobile’ is no longer simply a slogan. According to OECD data published in March 2020 mobile broadband penetration stood at 104.2% across the organisation’s member states as a whole in June 2019. With its more than 120,000 sites in Europe, Cellnex is firmly committed to the development of next generation networks, as the upcoming 5G revolution.

Cellnex offers neutral hosting and open access co-location services in its infrastructure, allowing mobile carriers to install their telecommunications and wireless radio broadcast equipment and antennas. This infrastructure, located strategically to offer maximum coverage, is designed to adapt to different technological needs (mobile communications, broadband or point-to-point connections), in both urban and rural settings, providing a service with a high level of security, availability and network stability.

The co-location service comprises the provision of security and conditioning of the infrastructure for the installation, maintenance or upgrade of client’s equipment, access services to the sites controlled by a Network Operations Center (NOC) and regular preventive and corrective maintenance services conducted by certified technicians.

Cellnex also builds new greenfield sites, taking care of all legal registrations and relation with landlords, and can also provide a complete installation of client’s radio equipment and antennas, so that clients can benefit from a worry-free turnkey solution.

The co-location services provided by Cellnex are trusted by the leading telecommunications and mobile operators throughout Europe, who favor the company as their preferred commercial and multiservice partner for telecom infrastructures.
